Do Benue Pay Corpers?

Benue State, like many other states in Nigeria, does not provide additional allowance or stipend to national youth service corps (NYSC) members who are posted to the state for their one-year mandatory service. Corps members posted to Benue State are expected to rely on the allowance provided by the federal government, which is currently set at N33,000 per month.

It’s important to note that while some states provide additional allowances to corps members, this is not a requirement and is at the discretion of the state government. Some states choose to provide additional allowances to attract corps members to their state, while others do not have the resources or budget to do so.
