For The Scale of 5.0 GPA

  • 1 to 1.49: Very Bad (Unclassified or Ordinary)
  • 5– 2.49: Very Low (Third Class Honour)
  • 5 – 3.49: Low (Second-Class Lower Honour)
  • 5 to 4.49: Good (Second-Class Upper Honour)
  • 5 to 5.0: Very Good (First Class Honour)

For The Scale of 4.0 GPA

  • 0 to 0.99: Very Bad (Unclassified or Ordinary)
  • 0 to 2.3: Very Low (Third Class Honour)
  • 7 to 3.0: Low (Second-Class Lower Honour)
  • 3 to 3.7: Good (Second-Class Upper Honour)
  • 0: Very Good (First Class Honour)

International Masters Students Admission Requirements

Notably, international Masters’ students in Europe refer to all students that are not citizens of any European Country.

As such, international students will need the following requirements to be eligible for admission into Masters Degree programs in European Universities;

  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Applicants can also submit a resume instead of a CV
  • Cover letter
  • Undergraduate/Other degree certificates.
  • Grade transcripts
  • Proof of English proficiency.
  • Acceptable proof of English proficiency exams is the TOEFL or IELTS.
  • Recent passport(s)
  • A recognized National ID Card
  • Academic reference/Recommendation letter (If needed)

National Masters’ students in Europe are students that are citizens of any European Countries either by birth or by register or by any other legal means.

why would these uni accept low GPA?

Note: some of these Universities only consider average GPA if only the applicant has a good academic record and has met other entry requirements. This is in cases where GPA is not the admission determining factor
